ITZY is officially making their long-awaited comeback this summer! The group will return with a brand-new album titled Girls Will Be Girls, set to drop on June 9 at 6PM KST.
On May 12, JYP Entertainment kicked off the comeback countdown by unveiling a cinematic trailer video and a comeback scheduler across ITZY’s official social media channels. The trailer—shot like a short film—features an emotional, stylized narrative about the members reviving Ryujin’s frozen heart. Directed by renowned commercial director Yoo Kwang-hong, the video weaves together drama, dance, and visuals in a compelling prelude to their 2025 comeback.
In a surprise twist, JYP’s founder J.Y. Park makes a cameo early in the trailer, appearing before Ryujin with a cassette radio in hand. From Yeji’s charisma to Lia, Chaeryeong, and Yuna’s stunning visuals and refined dance lines, the performance-packed teaser has already ignited major excitement among fans.
The promotion schedule also hints at a rich rollout of content:
- May 26 – Tracklist Reveal
- May 27–30 – Concept Photos
- June 2 – Album Spoiler Clip
- June 4 & 6 – MV Teasers + Additional Visuals
- June 9 at 5PM KST – Countdown Live with Fans

Girls Will Be Girls will be ITZY’s first release in approximately eight months, following their 2024 mini album GOLD. Known for their high-energy performances, confidence, and fierce stage presence, ITZY has consistently proven themselves as K-pop’s performance queens. This comeback is expected to further showcase the group’s growth and artistry.
As fans gear up for the release, all eyes are on what powerful sound and visuals ITZY will bring to the table next.
