– How One Music Video Sparked a Fandom, and Why They’re Still Here
When P1Harmony released the music video for “Back Down,” it sparked something unexpected thousands of miles away — in Brazil.
That was the moment Luís Miguel, a fan who had followed K-pop quietly for years, decided to do something more.
On January 20, 2023, long after the official comeback, he launched P1HARMONYPORTAL, a fan account dedicated to spreading love and updates about the group in Portuguese. That one video led to the birth of a local community.
“Our goal has always been to bring good updates about the group,” they said. “Projects don’t always work out, but we try to do our best for P1H.”
A Small Team with a Big Heart
Today, the portal is run by just three admins, each juggling their own lives and responsibilities.
It’s not always easy. There are times of inactivity, and moments when the account grows quiet. But they’ve never forgotten why they started.
“We’ve been inactive for a while,” they admitted. “But now we’re back.”
And that comeback matters. Because this fandom isn’t about numbers — it’s about people.
A Moment They’ll Never Forget
Among their proudest memories is when P1Harmony visited Brazil in 2023.
For many Brazilian fans, this was the first chance to see the group live — a dream come true. The portal, though small, helped share news and fan experiences throughout the country.
Even during quiet seasons, the admins try to keep the fandom alive by creating different types of posts and interactive content. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s real — and it’s meaningful.
What It Means to Stay
Fanbases often come and go. But those that last are usually built on something deeper: not hype, but commitment.
P1HARMONYPORTAL may not post every day, but they represent something important — the fans who stay. Those who return.
Those who continue to care, even when no one’s watching.
“We just want to do our best. That’s always been enough.”
To Brazil, With Love
In a world of fast trends and short attention spans, P1HARMONYPORTAL reminds us of the quiet, enduring strength of fandoms.
Not every story is loud. But every story matters.

Special thanks to @P1HARMONYPORTAL for sharing their story and keeping the P1Harmony flame alive in Brazil.
