PLAVE Heads to Japan with Mysterious Debut Single ‘카쿠렌보 (Hide and Seek)’

The virtual sensation PLAVE is ready to make waves in Japan! On May 1, the group dropped the teaser image for their Japanese debut single ‘카쿠렌보 (かくれんぼ)’, officially set to release on June 16.

The title, which translates to Hide and Seek, hints at a nostalgic, playful theme—and the teaser delivers just that. Shot in a quiet underground walkway in Japan, the image shows the members through a retro camcorder lens, instantly drawing fans into a dreamy, cinematic vibe.

Fans won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the physical version—pre-orders start on May 8 at 11 AM KST, with the full album dropping July 9.

Alongside the single, PLAVE also launched their official Japanese fan club on May 2, signaling the start of full-fledged promotions in Japan.

Since debuting in March 2023, the five-member virtual boy group—Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho, and Hamin—has quickly become one of the most talked-about acts in K-pop. With chart-topping releases, breakout performances, and a dedicated international fanbase, PLAVE continues to blur the line between virtual and real-world stardom.

With Hide and Seek, they’re not just playing a game—they’re chasing something bigger: a new chapter in Japan and an even more global future.
